The previously disadvantaged community in the area must be a priority. These people live in close proximity to the wildlife and many infectious disease can spread from their domestic species to wildlife species. This can have implications for both humans and wildlife. These human, animal and environmental interfaces creates a threat in the form of emerging diseases. We support the one health concept and will where we can provide the necessary vaccinations to reduce the occurrence of disease. Vaccinations will also reduce the possibility of children being exposed to the fatal rabies virus.
Community Outreach Veterinary Services
The community in the area owns livestock and domestic pets. We will provide the basic veterinary care to empower this community. We want to involve the children in animal welfare days where we want to share our knowledge on animal care, diet, handling and training.
